Thanks to all for your comments and Nick for the video. I think this is going to be a fun ride. Was hard putting it back in the garage yesterday, didn't want to get out of it. Gary

Nick, cool video, I could see you guys were headed for Sky's in Fremont. I was knocked out by the still pix but the video let me see much more, Oh my God, that thing is illegeal cool! Gary, get that garage nite going! I am interested in the steering wheel when you put the Impala wheel on. Just kidding, I am sure that sweet thing will stay right where it is. It sounded so good running at Skys when you were filming. Thanx for the extra glimpse at this baby. ~sololobo?~

    Gary,

He doesn't have his deuce coupe any more does he? I bought a couple of radiators off of him years back when I had my 40. I remember his 40 coupe, He also had a black one, flathead powered but he sold it to one of the members of one of the other clubs there in Omaha. I know, some of that stuff on the walls is what most would give a left gonad for.

I didn't know, or he didn't have the 36 back when I was there.

More story, I met him many years back when I had a 72 Vette, that I needed his shop to fix the steering column on.

    You did good......AGAIN....

Thanks Dallas, he sold his deuce awhile back. It's still here in Omaha (saw it at the world of wheels this year). One of my favorites with great history. I think Nick has some pic's of it I'll see if he will post them. Gary

Very cool find!!! Did your old coupe go to "Baxter" in Lawrence, KS?

Oh yea, lots of 'eye spy' on the walls and in the background of the pix. COOL!

Your 40 was one of the best I have seen, but the older I get the more I like the wash and wear. That's how my 37 is a lot like your 36..... old paint, sbc, mated to Henry's drive train, and its great. Congrats, it looks great and the leather will really finish it off.

Dude, that is a super score. Someday, I will own a 36 Coupe to match my 36 pickup.

I am definitely liking the non-shiney paint. So nice parking it somewhere and not having to worry bout it

That thing is sooo nice, i got to whip up a set or two of those wire looms - they were the first thing i focused on when the engine pic came up and it is little detail stuff like that that sticks with you.
That shop is something, im an organizer - not overly much - and i would've been rootin around thru there and justa settin things to right and enjoying the hell outta myself.
That 60something corvette is special, you say a bigblock?, 4spd, sidepiped, factory-knockoffs(?), original car? now that there is BJksn fodder - got to be 100K for that one.

Gary, It was nice seeing you and your car last night. That car has an awesome body one it. Anytime you are in Fremont my garage is always warm. It might even splurge for the pizza. Might see you on Saturday. Gary

  24. Do you have any shots of firewall to engine and engine to fan clearance. I looking at others for my '36 project.

    Thanks
