Awesome rambler, my dad has one just like this. I've been wanting to turn it into a gasser as well. What motor does it have and what did you do for the front suspension?

  12. That gasser van is wild.

You should paint it red and outline the side door with a 4 inch white border and a put a big white X on it. Maybe paint a few shingles on the roof and call it "The BARN STORMER". ;)

Lord knows that thing is about as aero as a barn. :D

Anyone remember a black 65 Olds 442 that used to be in the Napa Calif. area in the early to mid 70's that was all jacked up with extended spindles in front and leaf springs in the rear ?

OH MAN, Before I was old enough to have a drivers license if e.j. potter was running at Thompson I would hitch hike ,steal acar from the eastside of cleveland to see him run. My favorite was the sbc dragbike on a axle stand at the starting line he would rev it up and his pitman would shove it off the stand and all hell would break loose.balls of steel he would get out of shape and barely back out of the throttle. Its a shame it cant be seen again. Thanks for the flashback I needed it.RED

Nice! I've been kicking around a similar idea for awhile but with the pickup version. Just happen to have a 429 Ford motor on the engine stand that would do the trick. I'll follow your progress in your album.

  30. I think I have a few I can contribute. This was at a World Of Wheels show in Kansas City around 1980.
