A recent thread had a chopped 57 BUICK that no one seamed
to like.So I decided to try and make it more H.A.M.B.friendly.
    Oh well I tryed.
I wanted to make it look like a magazine print NOT a photo
Got top off photo of my chopped 57 Buick

  2. The one on the right would look pretty good. Im not into the one on the left though. Something about it looks goofy.

  3. The original one on the left is as ugly as a hat full of assholes!

    Definitely like your version more.

I'd like to see more 54+ chops, but I understand the difficulty due to the curved glass. Any good threads for chops in general especially 54+ models?

  5. Yep, I concur entirely with that statement.

the first one looks like one of those weird 90's t-bird things mushed into some custom abomination.

I remember when the first one showed up at shows and in a magazine or two and it luckily seemed to have disappeared shortly after that. Very typical gotta have more stuff for show points car that was focused on garnering as many show points as possible and not on having a timeless look.

I just woke up and saw what you did with your drawing Twochops and turns it into an interesting car. I've always liked your silver one but I sure wouldn't want to try to do one myself.

Your car in person is SOOO much prettier than the gold one you photochopped, just so you know!

    twochops,
your blue 57 in my opinion will be very hard to improve on. The stance, the lines, everything just seems to fit & flow.

well for starters the 88 Monte Carlo windshield kinda kills it for me then onto those sme kinda fancy skirts coupled with those ARC wheels that belong on a 87 escort and thats not even touching those star trek head rest...

    yea so uh...

Funny thing about the '57 buick is that when chopped as in the photos it sort of reminds me a Chezzoom. While neither car bothers me I do like the one on the right more mostly because of its class. The one on left is already dated. A custom should be classy and timeless.

  14. I saw this one on the cover of an issue of R&K in 2008. Built for the magazine by Oz in Nor Cal. Turned up on Ebay eventually. Not sure about it after that.

    It's a Buick pickup.--------------

  21. What would you start with, a four door wagon with the back of the roof caved in?
Seriously, I'm asking, because I like it, but I just couldn't do that to a solid two door.

  22. I think its the way the top sits. Reminds me of the new T-Bird 2 seaters.

  27. Thanks Chris, and thanks to our US friends as well for providing amongst other things lots of awesome cars to steal,...and work on :)

I really like that silver one as well,..not sure why,..its out there yet still looks well designed and kind of works proportionally. I would have it in my garage! :D
