Moe, in some states you could be considered a stalker. Nice pics.

Good eye, Doc! Here's the XF5F, long nose:

And here's a clearer shot of the plane on his drawing board. It sure looks like a variation on the XF5F theme, and it may be since it appears that the aircraft stayed in R&D until 1944. He never did work at Grumman, only at the aircraft lab at Wright Field:

He also had drawn up another version, similar to a mini P38 with a twin tail boom:

And since he loved cars so much, he often carried on these themes into his cars of the future. From 1942, drawn at Wright Field:

And it only took 20 more years for him, Bob Leppan and Jim Bruflodt to take half of that car to capture the land speed record at Bonneville in 1966. 245.667MPH made it the fastest motorcycle ever from 1966 to 1970. So sometimes these future concept cars, even the really really crazy ones, do predict the future and serve a valuable purpose:

Yep, that car is the Ohlmeyer, homebuilt in 1904 in South Australia. It was used regularly until 1923. The kids are the builder's sons, the later pic (repeated here) is them again. There is also a pic online somewhere of them sitting in the car in 1967! Today the car lives in the National Motor Museum in Birdwood, South Australia and can be viewed by the public.

Lord, I remember the "Blackhawk" comics. Couldn't wait for the next one. Didn't they switch to something that looked like the XF-90 after jets came in?
