Yeah, it's those headlights. I think if they had a cover over them of some sort (Glass or plexi or whatever) it would pull away from the Z look. I like it overall. I'm really excited to see where this goes.

Looking good! I agree the nose looks a little 280Z-ish. Wish I had your skills!

I think its the slope of the hood down to the front that causes that.

lookin good! mock ups are always just a taste of things to come!

  9. James, was that one of yours? That window opening is driving me nuts...I know the shape is from something else. Enzo? Lancia Stratos? HELP!;)

  10. Wow, trimming that windshield did wonders. Definitely seeing some Scaglietti in that shape now. I like it.

    What 280Z look?

As I said, it's the crease or fold under the light that causes that. The headlight cover helps in losing it, though.

  12. The door window? All sorts... Stratos... Miura... probably more as well.:)

  13. Says Muira to me. Nice rendering James, I like it.

looks to me like it could use the scuttle dropped . I'd bring the flowing line up n over the rear wheel, down (as you have )onto and through the door but remaining low with a very gradual sweep forward, transitioning into a 'hump' over the front wheel. you could look at using headlights similar to a Lister Jag .IMO it needs a larger grille opening ...and a little bit of squaring off more in the front.
you do know design opinions are like assholes...some stink more than others!! :D:D:D

I've never heard that Meade had anything to do with the Scaglietti Corvettes. Carroll Shelby, Jim Hall, and Chevrolet were involved, but when Scaglietti and Chevrolet both bailed Carroll went to AC and Ford. The result is well known.

Taking some or the duct tape off ...... Some of my test panels can be trimmed, shaped and re used some can't. Welded up one of the big tail panels now that i have a fuel cell in position under neath. Will have a Lemans flip filler poking up through. Trying to save the helmet fairing with some mods and triming. Next is the rear quarter panels and the move forward to the doors. Ray

Worked out the fuel cell filler and drilled the hole and set the cap up to take a look. Reshaped the left rear quarter tail section so the crown of the fender rolls around down the tail panel. The whole Left side is still design stage for now till i figure this stuff out. Ray
