pic request....34 3 windows!!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by paulatxntric, Nov 8, 2011.

  1. in an attempt to educate a noob in to exactly how he should be building his 34 we need some pics of 3 windows...various periods too....I have managed to drag him kicking and screaming from an IFS, IRS St**t Rod to sumat trad. He wants fully fendered, late 50/60s style car but needs some reference points....post what you got and leave the rest to me...!!

    Cheers!

Tough to find pics of fendered cars. I have way more pics without fenders.

To me, this is the ultimate profile for a 33-34 3w. Just change the color and wheels to your liking ( I LOVE the green w/wires). I prefer the the chop, but it should sit just like this.

Ah yes,... the next one to probably never see daylight again,... Got some work done on this one back in the spring (was going to be a daily driver) And then transported it back into the "back of the barn" which usually turns into the great abyss of unfinished projects while I continually battle with the "Paralysis of Analysis",... Everything was over built & over engineered so it could have the snot beat out of it,... And stand up to crazy mileage,... Oh well !,... maybe one of these days. (cell phone pictures)

(Oh yeah,.. one other thing,.. this is actually a 33' , But it's still a model 40)

Don't have a really good side shot,.... I still want to drop the rear another 1-1/2" to 2",.. or not ?

Earlier,... It's first growth spurt (like 5 years ago,.. I get to work on it a few weeks at a time,... but 5 years apart).

  22. Cal Tanaka's 3-winder. Unfortunately, It's hard to see how low the car is from this angle.

Thanks everyone for posting pictures so far - I'm the noob in question and I'm currently researching the desired look for my tradition '34 project. It's my first hot rod build and I want to get it right first time.

Please keep the pics comming. :)

    Thanks.

Here's a picture of mine. We kind of had a burnout contest that day.

Oh crap, you said full fendered, sorry!

Thanks guys for posting pics of my car, I am truely honored you like it.

I belive the style chop you use dictates the character for the entire car.

I personally like the Bonneville chop where the a-pillars are laid back. This gives the preception the car is hauling ass while it's sitting still.

Just be sure you leave enough glass to see out if you plan to drive it alot.

Here are a couple additional shots of my coupe for your consideration.

  27. Again, a 5-window. But you get the point.

If he doesn't want to go with a flattie, this thing would look great with an early SBC in Corvette trim. I just had to keep the flathead. ;)
