hello all, just turned 18 and finally get to join the hamb. been reading since i was 16. i love traditional rods and the culture around it. im going to be doing whatever i can to start making money and buying parts and tools to get started on my own hotrod.

i really enjoy reading the hamb. some nights i set here and laugh my ass off at you guys. some funny stuff on here. but most of the time im following along as you guys build, change, modify, and redo. i love it. i have learned a lot. thanks to all of you for that.

i cant wait to get my hands dirty.

    thanks again, xoxo

well if i could build anything. it would be a 3 window 36 ford. but that cost to dang much. so im thinking i may build a 49-53 chevy pickup or i found a 41 dodge 3 window couple for $300. needs ton of work. but it should make for good practice.

Keep your eye out you just never know.. I got lucky and found my car, the one i always wanted. And it was at a great price and even had it shipped across country. And i never thought i would get that lucky! Start with what you can afford and practice like you said, you will be fine you found the best place to get help and see whats out there.

like j.fishbeck said, build what you truely want, im 20 and have built some cool stuff but now I feel like ive wasted time building them, bc it wasnt what i really want, and now ive finally got what i want and couldnt be happier. and for a first car i would suggest something that dont need a complete rebuild
