    Wow cool pics indeed.

  4. I saw that car at Syracuse so I snapped a couple pics. Not too often do you only see 4 spark plugs under the hood!

Hmm??? That must be a 'stripper' base model.
I'm pretty sure that blown 392 Chrysler hemis,
M&H piecrust slicks and Halibrand big n' littles
    were factory options!!! :eek::eek::D

Funny.... I've grown up in a hot rod family thanks to my dad, and I certainly know a Willy's when I see it. I wouldn't have known that was a Willy's! I've never seen one stock. That could make a fun sleeper....

About 20 years ago I saw a stocker for the first time on a shipping pallet in London, Stansted Airport. I had only seen gassers etc. and I was surprised how small the car seemed sitting on stock wheels and tires/suspension.

My neighbor had one that was stock when I was a teenager (about 12 years ago). Dumb bastard parked it outside but drove it damn near daily. Totally stock and clean as hell. My Mom said he died of cancer a few years ago, I always wonder what the hell happened to that car.

  14. Never seen a stock one. Seen a custom one, there was a guy on Monster Garage, when they did an east coast styled hot rod build, that had a red Willys that had skirts and was a taildragger custom. Pretty awesome. I'm sure someone here knows who that is.

Huh???? What on earth are you trying to say???
This has got to be one of most convoluted and
unintelligible posts ever posted to the HAMB! For
the benefit of those of us here who are limited to
only being able to read and decipher posts written
in normal, proper English and in sentence form.
could you please try to at least write in actual
    sentences for your next post????

  22. Modelkitbasher, you are exactly the kind of person that represents 1% of this hobby, and its a shame you can even be on this board! But for a guy (could be fancypants as far as we know) to misrepresent OUR hobby and willfully deceive people the way you do is JUST WRONG!!! I bet your friends, of which you certainly cant have many, are bottomsuckers also. Do us all a favor and go crawl back under that pile of dung you came from!!! For a guy with a 2nd grade education you spell rather well I think.

  23. NOW THAT IS COOL! Looks like a hot rod just waiting to be born.

not to derail this thread but does anyone know what a pretty good steel 41 coupe project might be worth in todays market?

    VERY WELL PUT GASSERLOUIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why does it matter to the rest of us on the Hamb that you Modelkitbasher have 5 willys? You could have one of every willys ever built and it still wouldn't make you better than anyone else on the Hamb.
This post started out as a very cool piece of history and every time i come back to it, it just gets worse.
I am not one who likes conflict, so i usually avoid it as much as possible. But i am tired of getting on the Hamb to look at the Willys posts and seeing the crap you post on here. Being a member of the Hamb and also the West Coast Willys Club, we have read every negative comment you post. Maybe there is a reason that you have been removed from the WCWC.

$145,000 Means they are worth a lot more restored. I wonder why? Maybe because there rarer?
