  2. Not saying you'll get your money back if you did, but did you make a police report?

I live in Montgomery, just checked the phone book, no Leonard Arrington or any of the other names listed, doesn't mean that they don't live here, but they are probably undeground, obviously for good reason!!

    Hope someone catches them!!!!

The communications they used phone/computer/post office, ect. to facilitate fraud are also felony. Tro' da book at 'em! Keep records of everything pertaining to this case.

As others have said, DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY UNCHALLENGED! You'd be surprised how much trouble you can be for them, even 3,000 miles away...I had a guy from SC try to rip me off, and it took a few weeks, but I ended up getting an officer over to their house, where the officer called me on his cell phone and said, "I'm here with Darrell & his wife now, standing in their living room, what do you want me to tell them?...". I said "Tell them I am now making it my mission in life to make their lives living hell, and to put them BOTH in jail for fraud. Tell them they just fucked with the wrong dude from California..." 24 hours later, I got repaid via "next day air" PLUS extra by the crooks...funny how people cave when they get scared...and if I ever get to Spartanburg, I'm still gonna look them up and pay them a little visit.

DON'T GIVE UP-FIND THEM, (not so hard to do these days) AND CALL THE POLICE IN THAT AREA AND FILE A REPORT! You'll feel better about this whole mess if you take some action. Sorry this happened to you, and good luck!!

    Eric

PS: Hard to get the Feds involved, (less than $10K, they don't bother), but if they used the computer/internet to defraud there is a group that polices these cases, trying to recall...C3? CCC? Something? IC3!! I think this is it:

    Go get 'em!

  21. Could be worse man, good you sorted it out though !
I say track them down, play with their mind, just like.. Give them a note to their house, front door works. Say they have a week to pay back 'whatever they owe' to 'The man' and say you're coming to collect in a week from their door step.. And you won't be leaving empty handed.

Columbus is about 60 miles from Montgomery. Could very well have property in GA and live in AL. Or vice versa. I'd call the cops in both places.

Your first idea that something was not legitimate should have been that there was a '58 Impala for sale for only $8500.

    $8500 doesn't buy a lot of '58 Impala.

    $1000 or $100 it doesn't matter. It's also principle.
