I needed something to keep the the oil drips from my breathers off the engine. Was going through wallyworld and saw these. Ponytail scrunchies. Put one on my oil filler and another around the valley vent.
    Works great.

Haha just kidding man, I say if it works then go for it, maybe just take them off at shows. I'd hate to have the question asked, "hey man, what is that on your breather?"

Two little boys walk into a chemist's and the elder of the two asks for a packet of tampons. The chemist replies, "Sure, but do you know what they're for?" The little boy says, "Not really, but we saw on TV that if you get these things you can swim, play tennis, and ride a bicycle, and my little brother can't do any of that stuff ..."

#1. Yes I think it's a very good idea,... congratulations for finding a inexpensive solution to your problem,.... Bravo !

#2. I personally find it discomforting, disturbing and a little unsettling, that,..

(A.) you were walking around "wallyworld" in the area that they sell those,...
(B.) That you even know the proper terminology for them is "Ponytail scrunchies"

I say "baffle that breather" then the gay thing don't come up. "don't ask don't tell!"

  15. Maybe you should light one and make sure they're not too flammable, but other than that, whatever works. I would wash them in the washing machine in with work clothes or something, though, or soak them, I suspect using gas or kero will ruin the elastic inside them.

Yes I believe its a little gay, kinda like a little pregnant. I foolishly fixed the same kind of problem by installing a new pair of breathers had I only known of this fix could have saved maybe $10 . But if it works and you like it's great.....

I cant comment on the "gayness" of a pony tail schrunchie?
but why cant you stop your breather from puking oil on your engine?

Traditionally they would have used soiled underwear, but I understand that the supply of soiled underwear from the 50's is drying up.

A lot of guys on here lately have been buying NOS 50's clean underwear, adding a faux soiled finish themselves.

That brings up another huge debate here on the HAMB, the soiled boxers vs soiled underwear arguement. That is largely a regional thing, so you might have to do a little research to figure out what guys were using in your area.

I usually prefer not to get involved, but I figured I'd bring it up for all the newbs who haven't heard about it yet.

Do you have a lack of a PCV or a problem with blowby because either will cause you to lean toward the gay side.
