It was my first Reunion and Cracklefest. It was so awesome! I was standing by the turn around.

great cacklefest, approx. 50 cars , the freight train is the best with 2 blown chevys barking!

there were so many funny cars and dragsters,
most I've ever seen in one spot,
the cacklefest is the best, and i took off early.
tons of people, cars parked way down the road,
drag racing is alive and well at Famoso

need a 5th wheel or RV and set up camp,

I came back home this morning in the very wee hours. This year's event was awesome and the temps were very mild compared to what we have all experienced in the past. I haven't been back since they started running the funnys and that was a big treat for me. It really adds to the show IMHO. The list that Dave read, of the persons that passed in the last year, was seriously long. We really are losing many of the personalities from the golden age of drag racing. Go to this event or the NHRR before they all pass.

 

Neat stuff. Nostalgia drag racing sure beats lawn chair events. Thanks for sharing.

 

That was so cool when they fired the one nitro dragtser, among all those people!! Tears of joy!
