    I've always liked 28/29's best.

    I also prefer the 28/29 coupes. :)

Either chopped or not, the cowl shape of the 28 and 29 just looks better to me. Here is a nice 29 that has been chopped but looks good proportionally ( to me anyway ). I dislike them cut too much.

    Yes, I prefer fenders also :D :D

I think its a toss up..and it really depends on how its done , and how much is taken out on each model year.

to me 4" out of a 28-9 looks different than 4" out of a 30-1..(of course model differences aside)

  7. I love them all, but owning a 30 makes me a little biased.
I think all A's need to be chopped, but 28/29's can pull off not being chopped.
The lid on my 30 truck needs 3 to 4 inches taken out, as its a colonial cab, and is way to high, and ugly.

i like them all chopped. im six foot four so i would have to sit in one before i chopped to make sure i had enough room.. but from what iv seen 4" looks good. little off topic but i also think the A's look great with a white/cream firewall and different color body.. just looks right to me.

28 through 31's look better chopped, unless you like driving a car that resembles a phone booth. 32's look nice chopped as well as un-chopped, however Model-A's... Not so much. I say you have to chop them all.

'28-'29 is better looking. And... this should be a poll. :D

    I second that.

They all look bad with too much out. But some look better than others with not enough gone. I like '30-'31s, chopped or stock, I think they look the best proportionaly. On the other hand, I am liking '28 and '29 roadsters, more than '30-'31s, these days. Dunno why, I guess I just like the way the cowl sweeps up.

28,29's are an inch taller in the side windows than a 30,31.. However the windshield and back window are the same size on all coupes.. The 5 1/2" chop on my 29 is like a 4 1/2" chop on a 30,31 yet my windshield and back window are smaller.. Hope this makes sense.......

I was doing a search on differences between the 28-29 & 30-31 body styles and came across this. Anyone have some more specs or good side views to illustrate the differences?

  17. In the front of the MAC's catalog there is a great illustration of the models and differences.

  18. I always loved the A-coups; have to admit I didn’t saw the difference between a 30 or a 29 in the beginning. The answer from me are,, love them all if the stance are alright, but I think my heart beat harder when I see a 28-29.

I prefer 30/31's but if you are running a Deuce Frame the cowls on the 28/29 seem to conform better. Just my opinion.

X2 on what he said ^^^^^^^

I think the 28/29's look more radical and custom. The 30/31's look like more of a production car with the smooth cowl.

I really love your 9 scrap metal 48.

I agree with the others as it all depends how the car is finished. I am a little bias towards the '30/ '31. All Model A's have such great lines. Hell, it's a Model A...you'd have to be on crack to not like a Model A :D

I like both... probably would have initially picked a 30/31, but came across an earlier car and love it.

See avatar. For some reason (chopped or not) I never liked the grill shell of the 28/29 which all goes together for the "look" that I like.
