I also am a fan of the way it sits as picked up. I'd get it running, give a wash-down and drive it the way it is. nice find; love those old internationals!

On post 90 it looks like you flipped the steering arms(?) from pointing back like in mockup to pointing forward. Won't the sharp angle of the rack arms make for sketchy steering?

The steering box was set behind the crossmember to start, but it would steer in the opposite direction that way. It is meant to be a front steer. That is why we moved it. I do believe the steering will be ok in its current position.

I do understand that but a 50 or so horse engine with mechanical brakes and steering is not very much fun to drive when you are in your later 70's.

Nice job,,your customer will be thrilled that it don't drive like a shopping cart. Was the wood available or you got someone handy with lumber to make door and cab pieces?
I am going to look at a package deal (2 '34 Int'ls) to possibly keep me busy this winter.

Looks pretty good. Its a lot better than what other people might do, either r*t rod it out or make it a "billet clad fluff mobile".. Im really glad you kept the bias ply tires, however, i have a feeling it might look better with some taller bias plys to fill out the fender opening a bit better.

Thanks guys. On the tires I think you might be right. The truck sits a little higher now with new springs up front.

This picture looks like the rack and pinion is attached to the frame - is that correct? It is hard to tell from this angle.

If so, what happens to the alignment during suspension travel? Or am I all wrong on what I am seeing?
