Finally got a car!

  1. I agree, but a part of me wants something with a little more punch to it. Right now, it stays in place.

If free time is a factor, this is the only way to go. Drive it while you add your own personal touches to it instead of having something under construction for God knows how long. Sweet coupe! I'm just south of you, hope to see you on the road! Tim

  5. That is the plan. BTW, love your avatar!

  6. Hi Tim,

Yeah, I've done the project thing before and like many of us, it takes a lot of time, energy and money to see one to the end. All this A really needs for now is an interior and some detail/cleanup and she's good to go. I can do other things to it over time, but I really like it the way it is now. Thanks!

  7. The car came from your neck of the woods. Maybe you have seen it before. And I do plan to drive it as often as I can.

  11. What a beauty! I'd like to buy something like that too, so I could have some "driving fun", while completing the long time project.

thats more than just a "car", thats a lifestyle! love them un-chopped, full fenderd 30-31's! flathead and lower maybe?

  13. Thanks. I like the look too. The car's stance is already the way I like. Flathead? Maybe later. For now, I'm going to drive the banger for awhile and decide if I want to change it out.

Kinda bummed that Mike sold that A. I have done a lot of work on that Model A for him over the years. The Last thing he did was have me install the OD unit. Turned that A into a nice cruiser. :)

  20. Yeah, Mike mentioned that you did a nice job on the OD unit and that it made it a nice cruiser. I am really happy with the car and I will take real good care of it.

    Nice I dig it buddy

  26. 5.50 x 16 Front, 7.50 x 16 in the rear. 4" drop axle in the front. Standard A rear axle with '40 brakes. With the OD unit it's a 1:1 ratio when it's in use. I can hum along at 60 - 65 mph with ease.
