Eagle Field was a success!!! Got to meet some great folks up north! The 17 hour round trip from home was deff. worth it!!

The car performed great with the new changes we made. The hurt tired performed much better than our larger slicks, no more bogging on the line. And after rebuilding the engine it was really pulling through the finish flag!

    All in all good day!!

Gorgeous dragster. Nice talking with you yesterday. Love the Moons on the front. I normally love wires but those look great. I was looking at my pics and noticed you changed your steering wheel. Too long a reach?

It was mainly a safety issue. The original steering wheel was mainly designed if you had a banjo rear end so your legs would be sitting lower but since we have a Chrysler in it our legs sit higher and the steering wheel hits our knees!!

Good talking to you at Eagle. The car is prettier in person than in the pictures.

Am I to understand that an effort is afoot to restotre the old UFRA circuit? I hope so. It was quite entertaining to see them back in the day. My dad was especially fond of them, especially being well versed with them via ownership of quite a few Ford products in the 40's. In viewing the Youtube shot at Eagle Field, I squint and pretend its Irwindale 1969.

Yup you are correct. My dad still has contact with a lot of the original members who most still have their cars! So we are in the process of tracking down the more of the original members and their cars and meeting new flathead racing enthusiast!

"efforts where underway to restore the UFRA"

it would be nice if it did happen.

Getting back on topic, it would be nice to see updates or even just more/additional pics of Demitri's Doll's (any and all? of them) cuz I know that they exist on your photobucket page;)
