Went to Calhoun, GA yesterday to their hot rod drag meet and swap meet @ Paradise Drag Strip, huge turnout. I would really love to get the Silver Dollar Meet built up to something in the same category, and there's no reason it can't be done!

I'm camping and Ken is coming with me and sleeping in the other end of my pop up camper.Will be bringing a 2000 watt Honda generator (real quiet) and a floodlight just in case we need some light. I think it was Laydrag who cooked a crockpot of beans last year using my 1000 watt Honda.
Anybody else who has a camper but no generator they have a few electric hookups for $10, first come first served.

The Silver Dollar site shows "super street / motorcycles" on their schedule for 10-29. Are they running a race that day plus the RWYB test n tune? Possibly bringing several cars and the owners wanted to confirm they'll have plenty of track time. Thanks.

 

We've always had more than enough time to run all we wanted, but I'll try to contact Ed ASAP and come back with his answer.

There is always a race on the RWB day. we don't have enough cars to keep the track busy. Southern Slingshots used to come. always had plenty of track time.

 

Just talked to Ed's wife, and he was on the other phone busy as all hell because this upcoming weekend is their biggest of the year with all the NHRA stuff and a 3 day meet. So he most likely won't have time to talk till after this weekend.
But Mrs. Swearingen is also involved heavily and said that they seldom have many super street cars, usually only 6 or 8 and that the 10/29 date is is the lightest day of the remainder of the season and the best time for our show.

I noticed on the SDR site that gates open at 1:00, track opens at 2:00. What will it cost to get in and run?

 

Last yr. it was $10 to get in and another $10 if you race.
