Chris I'm gonna be sad when your truck gets done! You won't have time to take such great pictures because everyone is going to be swarming around it all day. hehe. Thanks again for the great camera work and it was good to see you and your better half.

Hunnert Car Pile Up is the baddest traditional show on the planet and will be missed by all gearheads!!! I really pray they find another spot and carry on the tradition....i will go natter where they have it!!!:)

I'll be honest with you, seeing cars parked is fine but, it was even better standing by the car intake gate watching them in motion.

I think if the Hunnert Car Heads Up even partially takes the place of the Pile-Up, it will be even better. Cars are meant to be driven and look so much cooler in motion.

    We'll see what happens!

You should have been there while we were setting up on Friday. I think that's all I can say about that! :D Anyway, that's FalfasNightmare's car. He and the other Fugitives put on the Meltdown Drags at Byron (July 21), part of the (Hunnert Car) Heads Up-Meltdown Drag Series.

Bloody hell, you lot approve of these? Stop the insanity ! Looks like hard work and an overall great event but why are these being welcomed in to long running respected events?

I agree. There is nothing traditional about these things. Certainly when I was a kid there was nothing like this around. Should be banned!

Thanks for the pics! That is a really great look at the show from all aspects.

Absolutely. The Pileup has always been about driving your car, whether it gets in or not. Union Grove is in the middle of nowhere, and is a historic track, so the driving is a must! :D I had a couple people tell me that their car isn't fast, so why bother. I can understand that. But there are plenty of cars that come that aren't fast by any stretch, and the owners match up with similar cars. If you're racing another 17 second car, suddenly it's a whole different ball game! :D

Hey - I seem to recall some NON traditional stuff at Hot Rod Hayride.
and you find 2 cars out of 944 pix?
Before people bitch and moan about cars that are in OTHER peoples shows.....why do you not go ahead and volunteer at the gate instead of complaining............
    sheesh
not sure you have seen ALL the positive comments on the show.
It seems the people that were actually AT the show just kept on walking past the stuff that they did not like.
AND there were things that snuck in - I witnessed personally 1 truck come in the back entrance about 230 pm
    and
why is it that certain shows get a pass but other shows get hammered for letting in "non trad" cars?
Viva, Lonestar, Long Beach Motorama - no one ever talks about those shows letting in "non trad" cars.
    Very odd....
guess haters are always gonna hate

  22. I finally made it to the Pileup this year! It was a kickass show with many nice cars. Thanks to all those who worked so hard to make it happen.
I never waited in line to get a t-Shirt at a car show before. That kind of shows the cool factor of the show. Way to go out with a bang fella's!

    Thank you, thank you, thankyou!

I've been a little underinspired lately....

Other's coverage showed all of the 'stand out' cars, but quite a few of the 'slightly background' cars in your coverage are sending me straight out to the garage!

    See you later!!!!

My dad and I knew Mike Marinoff. Cool guy! His shop used to be in Oak Creek WI. on Rawson ave.
I'm really digging the bubble top and the orange "T".
