    I heard through the grape vine that someone on here droppes straight axles....
    anyone know who it is?

    Yep..296 V8 did one for me..dropped and drilled...perfect...
     
  7. While I haven't had an axle dropped, If I was.....296 V8 would be the one to do it.

  9. Another vote for 296 V8. Greg has done work for me in the past and has two of my axles now. I think he is the best axle dropper working right now.

    Arie Van Skyndel is doing great work down in San Marcos, Ca (949)302-5910. He just did a '40 Ford front axle for me and it looks amazing...
     
  11. I have referred some guys to 296 V8 in the past and they have reported that they were very satisfied with his work.

    Straight axles don't get dropped.
    I beam axles do.

  21. I know that Chris and his brother have a jig. I'm not sure of anyone else that could do it. Maybe Rick at Walrus Machine down in Ballard, he'll at least know who can. I ask him when I am down there this week.

    "I'm in" when/if it does happen... even if it's only a couple inches, i'm sure they have a limit.;) the aftermarket dropped I beams are junk and i refuse to buy them
