My Last Hotrod and of all thing's a roadster

I know how you feel. Had to have one ,and I knew from the start it wouldn't be a easy fit.

 

That thing is really cool... its like before Norm took the Kookie car to Jeffries.

Awesome! I just watched, " The car that ate my brain" today with the Von Franco clones. Awesome history!

 

alwayzarat, I have watched that that little movie many many times and know how Von Franco feels.

 

I just picked up the Oct. 1955 Issue of Hot Rod Magazine on Ebay as well. That was the first magazine the Lightning Bug was in. I am anxious to see what all it says about the car. Great build! Just great!!!

 

It's been two months since my last update so I thought i would do a quick one.Did get the stripping done by my old buddy Ron Meyer's.Most of my time has been spent working out the bug's,Like no brakes,bent harmonic balancer,brake line's leaking and rear shock's hitting the frame after the rear spring settled. Got them all fixed,now waiting on the painter to put the flames on and i've got to build the cover for the front spring perch.
My goal was to have the car ready for the Tulsa Starbirds show in mid Feburary. I think I'm going to make it. Thanks for looking and have a wonderful Xmas.
