  1. Killer Henry J Todd! How ya keeping buddy? Missed having you up for the Panel Swap my friend, maybe next year. See you in Detroit next spring.
Had a few Allstate versions of this rocket at our shop over the years too, sold by Sears here in their heyday.

Bo- Love your work, you always have such cool lighting.
Bob- Liking all your newer work. What's that on the headers?
Todd- Always enjoy your work. Love the J. I bet a better pic would really show how those colors pop.
Jeff A- I always like the funky angles you choose. Thanks for the eye feast.
Buick- I like how you are a photographer who cares what is actually in the shot. You got the eye.
Pro Art- I do know what is involved with computer work like yours. lots of fun things to look at. I like your quote "the computer is just another tool - it produces only what the artist does".
Gary C- You come up with some crazy ideas. I love em. Your work I think inspires ideas, I like that.
Jigster- You always have fun stuff. Love the story that went along with the image.
Spoggie- Man, you have the craziest colors. That's a good thing. That little lakester looks like a fun ride.
DW- Cool shirt logo. I hope the fundraiser goes well for you.
Forty- I like your bent stuff. I always see the cars on this little globe in my mind.
    Janne- Always jaw dropping good.
Erlomd- Fun art, now get to work.
A32- I find accidents like yours can sometimes be a good thing. Cool shot.
Steve- Sad story, Wild paint! Nice airbrush work.
Theo- Thats quite a hood ornament.
bbb- Nice B/W layouts. Boy I used to do a lot of work like that.
Jranson- Nicly done 49. Both versions.
gabo- nice ink work. I want one of those space helmets.
Mike- Nice 32 shirt design. How the Roach stuff going?
ncJ- Your beadrolling always blows me away. I keep thinking I need something from you for my 36.
    Boss - nice colors,cool crop.

sheesh! there is a lot of art to like.

Mel- cool textures, got a bit of Norwell to it, I like the mixed media.
Tommy C-Always fine craftsmanship in all you create.
    GV- always fine lines.

    Yeah it's a long list.

    KS- Beautiful.
Bruce- A little off topic is always good. Fun image.
Charlie- Man! your lines are always so clean.
Judd- Love the color combo. I tried to do some striping on my tool box...lets just say it wont wind up on the FAS.
    Nate- Your crazy. Fun stuff.
1320- your pencil over work is beautiful.
Dan- Nice compositions. That blue 40 looks so juicy.
    Mongo- Fun shots.

    OK, OK, I'll stop.
Thanks to all the FAS participants, You all inspire me more than you know, I just never say it.

The Mopar lost already on a redlight 'cause he knew he couldn't win unless he left before the green...

  15. Buick, now, you know I'm kinda a Pontiac guy... and you've captured a lot of launches, right?
Well, I'm also an optimist and a story teller. Every story has an antagonist, sometimes it's the author his or herself... but, in my book, the hero always wins...
Maybe, however, this story is still being written...

    Thanks for your concern.
(Also, thanks to the helpful HAMBer who pointed out what a dolt I was along with the errors of my SD ways...problem solved.)

Thanks LowCab, I really like your work too.
Tons of killer work flowing in, too many to single out now.
    Great work all!
Thanks to you who have left nice comments...

Amongst other projects I've been reproducing electronic versions of lots of old Roach stuff, sometimes having to work from old catalogs - taking a 1 and 1/2" design and making a full size piece of art with all the color separations from it. Working from that small size to full size can be 'challenging' to say the least. I guess it helps that back in high school I used to copy Newt's art onto my book covers, etc. Seems ironic that 40 years later I'm kinda doing it again! On occasion Newt and Stan, one of the original owners of Roach, and I get together for lunch. It's very entertaining to listen to those two bring up names and stories from the heydays of Roth and Roach.

I haven't seen them yet but Brian says the proofs on shirts look great. Part of the reason for those prototype shirts having to be done is a bit of the process to get licenses from each of the car manufacturers, something that wasn't particularly necessary back in the day. They used to welcome 'free' advertising back then. I have no idea when the anticipated release dates are going to be.

Your newest post is another great piece as always. Love the technique you have. - Mike

Impressive art, as always. I can't figure how you get so much accomplished nor how it can always be of such high quality with the volume of pieces you turn out. My hat's off to you. Look forward to more postings in the future.
