Great car Kevin. Got to loose those stock taillights. I have always thought that was a 39 merc. afterthought. The rest of the car is so stylish then the taillights stick out the side of the fender. Love the car and top.

  3. Kevan,

Without a doubt this car is a perfect candidate for 27 inch billet wheels and hydraulics. It would also look sweet with a pampass grass tiki roof........BTW....make sure your little dog keeps that pink torpedo holstered....it scares me......man I love that car.

Damn thats cool..... When did you move to Nor Cal?

  9. Kevan - VERY cool! Your car rules me! I LOVE that the headliner seams ran front to back. Also, it looks like snaps along the body edge under the top? I wonder if it ran a tonneau?

That is cool as hell, I love it without the top time to get the welder out and make some sparks

  11. So cool Kevan,I spent plenty of time at that fathers day show around this car.I am fascinated by untouched customs. There is just some serious energy coming from cars like this when you see them in person.Especially this car because it is such a early custom and I will never forget the bitchen red & white interior that was still there after all these years. This custom has probably been drivin to all the places we read about everyday lakebeds, dragstrips, etc.I really hope someone comes forward with some info on this livinig piece of history.
I would do almost anything for this car and it is a good thing you have it.The car is in great hands.

Nice, Kevan! That car still has a fantastic look with the top off...I wonder if the A pillars have been leaned back just a bit? Can't wait to see what you do with it next...that car just looks like it's been there, done that...a seasoned kustom for sure with a fascinating history!

Toatally cool car...but im really curious on the taillights/turn signal thingies. were they aftermarket "universal" pieces? must be hella rare.

Not any rarer than the 1939 Mercury... factory stock 1939 Mercury taillights.

Yeah you are a lucky guy.
Would be neat to see if the paint buffs out.
(obviously where there still is paint!)

Those tail lights look like lobster or crab eyes!
