Check out this old custom 1939 Ford pickup front clip!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Sep 26, 2011.

  1. My Brother and I went to Central Washington yesterday to pickup up a truck from another Hamber "Kidzintha34fordor". While there we were looking at his stuff and I noticed this front end. He said it came off of a 1939 Ford pickup. The front fenders are 41 Ford car, center lower grill is home made, home made headlight eyebrows, etc. The fenders were welded to the truck. Hood is stock and the hood sides are also home made. I thought it was too neat to let it go, so now what will I do with it? I almost wish I had something to put it on...

Now the question- anyone ever remember seeing a truck that looked like this??

40 years ago, a friend got a 39 pickup that had an edsel grille moulded in......

........I though HIS was the ugliest 39 pickup ever modded.. :)

That's so ugly that the scrapyard may not even take it

I'm guessing some farm boy saw a picture of a Ferrari and thought he'd make his old farm truck look as cool.

Im sorry.....I would have stopped at the dump on the way home...might of had to pay them to take it. All I see is a bumper car on a large scale... Now it would make a great dog house, just a bit drafty..

I think it's quite well done, when you see it on the truck that '39 could pass for an off-brand mid-50's model. I'm more into the wild stuff like canted quads and drawer pulls, but really, it's a well built piece.

  27. The only thing wrong with it is the two grilles should match each other.

As usual, the HAMB is heavily anti-full-custom, though.
