So I stumbled upon these 63 rivs that this guy wants to sell. Been in storage since the 80's. I know nothing about these cars and am curious about how much does one pay for them? He was thinking $2000-$2500 a piece? Too much of deal????
If he has the titles and the engines in both aren't blown up offer him $4000 and thats still a good deal. No titles they can still hibernate some more.
They all look very straight and would clean up well, the interiors look pretty good too and if they run would be a great buy. I have been looking at 64/65 over the last few months and I dont think I could get the money out of my wallet quick enough at 2-2.5k
To me its a no brainer. They look fairly complete and without rust. Get them both, drive one and sell the one you don't want after you make it presentable and hopefully make some cash on it.
That kind of money really doesn't get you much, and those both look very solid and complete. Looks like they have been stored indoors too, also a plus. If you can't afford both at least grab one, those are a very pretty and desirable car. Don
Hard to find just one these days in good shape. Do like Frank on the Pickers and bundle them for a good price, keep one and flip the other two. What a deal!
They'd be in my garage as soon as I could reach my wallet. Riviera's are some of the coolest 60's cars!!!
Depends on if the motors will turn or not. '65 is the most desirable year with the most expensive parts for these.
"Jay S." you have a PM Not for me!! I can just about guarantee they wont since we dont use titles in Canada, never have and probably never will.
just remember going thru a nailhead will cost quite a bit more to build than a chevy. i sure miss my 63. they are nice cars. figure more like flathead/hemi prices. but i would grab the best one and one more on the cheap for parts. good luck
