Hey guys, near my dads farm sitting behind some bushes off the highway a few feet is this really cool 30's sedan. I have no idea what it is, but my dad pointed it out a good number of years back, I haven't seen it since I was a kid. So I stopped by there today and took a few pics, its in a lot better shape then I remember, and Im kind of interested. Any info at all? Its SO close to a fairly major highway its been picked over a bit over the years, since it used to be in full view before the owner towed it behind the bushes where it now is. ^ Its in fairly decent shape surprisingly enough (thanks for looking and offering any help you can)
Looks like a six. Lasalle used Oldsmobile 8 in 36. Maybe Olds? dash looks like an Oldsmobile product.

Nashes were know as upscale cars, good engineering the OHV 6 in the 40's had a dual distributor system firing 12 plugs. Probably hard to find parts if a restoration is your aim, as the basis for a hot rod, why not. Infact the 5r nash rebel 2dr Hartdtop with the 255 HP v8 was probably the first muscle car, matter of fact it was the fastest and quickest car built that year, even the FI corvette. The got swallowed up alog with hudson in the AMC takeover and disappeared after the 58 or 59 model year becomg American Motors.
You'll pay dearly for a grille for that puppy! Saw one at the MOTAA Petit Jean Swap Meet a few years ago for $1750. They do make really fine rides, just hard to find body and trim parts.
^ Yeah, crappy. Its in really nice shape, too bad about the grill aspect. Any after market companies make them for these cars at all? Restorations aren't my thing, besides, this is a hot rodders forum
