Rocket 88, my dad took a picture of that car a few years ago at the apple run in Cashmere, WA. That was before we started our car and was by far the nicest similar mopar we'd seen.

Katzen- I heard Edgy is kinda taking a break for another coupla months. Maybe a new child if I remember right. The heads are his nighttime/side job. Keep trying him. He's supposed to start again early next year, and it is a made to order pay-a-deposit and wait deal, but everybody who has dealt with him seems to be happy.

Nice to see a post about old mopars. good inspiration. heres some pix of my (stalled) project. the black 50 business coupe. yanked the flat 6, lookin to do a small block mopar swap. need to swap the back end as well. any suggestions? choprodsi saw that you put a 67 mustang rear in yours? was it a perfect fit or did you have to modify the width?
katzenhammer - what did you do for your floor pans?
also put some random plymouth photochops

Kooter, we put a ford 9" out of a '58 ford in ours and it bolted right in. We didn't even have to move the spring pads. We used the ford lower shock mounts and swapped them side for side in order to have the shock in the front like stock. It's a direct bolt in and you get open driveline, big brakes and a rearend with big bearings.

found a red 55 desoto 2 dr, all exterior/interior intact, chrome is cherry, minor rust, trans + hemi is in parts, but looks to be all there... looked at a piston with a hole in it. has a piece of shit trans-am motor/trans in it right now... the dude says it runs. near E. LA i think...saw it while driving around with a friend.

he shot out $4k as the price, but there is no doubt in my mind if you flashed $1500 at him, he would take it.... anyone interested?

4woody thanks. I will keep trying. I like the look of his heads and have wanted one for awhile..

Kooter. I wish I had pans but they cannot be cheap!

I used sheet steel and cut out the old rusted sections and tig welded everything into space with the help of Salt Flat Matt. After that I used brush on bedliner to seal everything up. It is solid! Took one weekend to get the job done right but it was worth it.

Has anyone used the 360 crate motor from mopar performance? It seems like a good deal and I have a friend who's getting ready to build a '34 plymouth. We probably should have used it in the wayfarer, but too late now.

  22. Watch out for them. Concensus on the mopar boards is the quality is spotty, and they don't last. but others say they have no probs.... Check out moparts.com or moparchat.com and look up crate engines.
