For Chevy fans in So Cal, my Z/28 I purchased 40 years ago.
I still have it, 54k miles.

 Dam! I haven't seen any of these in years...I like 'em both.....Especially the Glendale Speed one... Did you get that from them while they were still open? Do you have anymore?

  4. I got it from a friend of someone who used to work there, don't have any more.

Wow, Dick Balch. Started out slow, kept screwing up a commercial he was making, then called for a sledge hammer so he could hit the car with it; it took off and made the guy $$$$$$. ALL his salesman looked like him; dark hair and a "porn actor" mustache. He was even on the talk/sales circuit at colleges. When it was all over the government auctioned off his assets. What a rise and fall! The trim rim "WATCH MY REAR END NOT HERS", I had one on my 70 340 Dart. Butch/56sedandelivery.

I found this one (minus the Bombers topper) while I was shooting a car in the hills between Pasadena & Glendale.

  12. I know the car's OT, but I've sold it, and still have my frame.

My dad bought some of those new in Canada in the '70s. He's still got them, I think.

Many British cars of the '30s and '40s had their rear number plates behind glass windows, as on this '40s Daimler:

Of course some rigged cable-operated curtains ...

    Note the perennial "D" taillights.
