I forget but I think we have around 17 cars coming....BUT we tend to pick up a few more on the way and in the pits. wouldn't surprise me at all if we end up with closer to 20 cars by Saturday.

Okay now, do I have to choose a side to hang with, or can I be with both the CSGA and the Gas House Gang? Maybe it'll depend on whose T-shirt I'm wearing.

 

Well...we are running for points towards the gasser cup so YES so far as racing, but NO so far as parking and general BS'ing. The winner takes home a big "Gasser Cup" full of the losing gasser teams ears! Maybe a bit macabre but it is war after all! Guess if you're fond of your ears you may wanna run with the GHG.

 

CSGA gets Model A John since Kansas is closer to Oklahoma than Texas. Besides, Jim already marked him last year!!

we dont have shirts john, but I do have a magic marker and stayed at holiday inn express one time

 

I have a 2010 CSGA Nat'ls shirt. That might work.

 

Question for Rob - is there going to be designated parking for all of us gassers? Even though we (Texas & Oklahoma) may be competing against each other, I believe it will be a consensus that we would all like to park together. Would that be a correct assumption Texas guys? And if we can all park together, can you tell us where that designated area might be this year?

Sounds cool to me! We are working real hard at securing an area (read Herb is working on it). GHG generally parks to the immediate right after the ticket booth. I really don't think about it as Texas vs Oklahoma and I think that is the way most all the racers feel. Just makes it more enjoyable to have a little competition between race camps. The Okie vs Texas thing I believe is geared more towards the spectators...but waddawino??!

 

we always park or I always park by the tree behind the bleachrs by the staging area...and i intend to be there again hehe
