I think this pic was posted a while back and the spot not only identified but a modern shot showing that spot today. If it wasn't this site it was Shorpy.com.

Not only is that a 331 Poly Chrysler, the owner surely looks like a certain blue-eyed car connoisseur,
if a "new man" ;) on the block!

Always great pix there RoadKill!:) But this one takes me back. The highway-safety folks surely used to shove the message in your face, didn't they??? As a young driver, I admit I sort of resented the preachiness and the gore tactics. BUT, I couldn't disagree with the intent, as friends and acquaintances got killed or injured in my little town, too. Now that I'm old, I see kids driving as if they'd seen every one of the "Jackass" movies and, instead of learning anything, want to go out and outdo the jackasses. (Maybe they didn't hear about Ryan Dunn's fatal crackup.:()

The embedded message says dual-cowl Hudson. (I'd thought Hudson earlier,
though someone else opined Winton.) BUT, this is awfully fancy bodywork for
a Hudson, even as nice as they were. Anybody know the year and, maybe, the
coachbuilder? I think Biddle & Smart did some pretty fancy stuff, but I didn't
think they did stuff this snappy for this company. Special order, maybe? Fas-
    cinating pic, RoadKill!

anyone able to help settle a difference of opinions in australia?
i wondered if it might be an FC Holden behind the VW and therefore probably not, as it is supposed to be, somewhere in the United States. The photo is shared courtesy of a peugeot historian who had been told so anyhow ...
