New one-off custom '36 Roadster with aluminum top, stretched hood, fenders, pan, deck lid and aircraft interior. Built by the two guys in the other picture above for the gentleman sitting out of the shot. He told me the hood and sides are AL and the grill is also narrowed a bit.

It's a Steve Moal build. Saw it at the McCall's Motorworks party on Wednesday night...pretty impressive metal work.

Love this renewed car and especially the interior... in all of it's fantastic, understated simplicity. Gary

Thanx for the extra pix of the 36. I'm not too fond of the 36's seats, and probably not the smell of that spare tire after a few hours parked in the sun. Gary

  13. Thanks for the pics!

Hmmm, I thought that the dash originally had an engine-turned finish?

  14. It also originally had a different front grille. Apparently it was decided to keep that dash. I think it was a good call as it looks much better than the one it had when first built.

No problem hasty! Where else but Monterey would you see a Willys gasser parked next to a Lambo in a car show?

  19. What happened with the Edelbrock Special roadster at RM ? Did it find a new home ?

  20. No idea...the news of the $16.39 MILLION Ferrari sale kinda dominated every conversation about the auction...:eek:

  21. The production numbers of these things blow my mind.

Well, you know, times are tough all over.
What went for that kind of dough?

Just got back from an amazing week in Monterey where I had the privilege of working Russo & Steele, RM, Concorso Italiano, the historics and of course Pebble on Sunday. It's funny to read some of the good and bad things people have to say about Pebble Beach. Yeah there are alot of rick pricks in attendance but there are also alot of the most knowledgeable down to earth gear heads in the world with the most amazing collection of cars you will EVER see in any one place.

Couldn't tell you much about Bugattis or Duesenbergs but you can't look at these cars and not appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each and every one of them. If your a true gearhead, I urge you to make it out to Monterey week at least once in your lifetime, it's an experience you won't forget.
