Shifter looks like it's in a better location now. You need to hurry up and finish this thing. I'm feeling a Lone Star Round Up trip next year! We'll even invite the chassis genuis to come along!:D

H, Sorry nothing new an exciting to update. Normal life has just got in the way.
:) Bought my rear tires and I'll have the front ones next month (Coker was out). Then its blast and powder coating for them. I'll then be able to finish up the front bone set up.

novatatoo, I was looking at the side view shot and the bones look awful close to your frame when you think about suspension travel, you might think about mounting them outside the frame, split them and mount them near the length of where your gear box mounts to the trans. You can buy the hardware from Speedway. Longer is better than to short.

jay, The bones are actually split already. I have them tucked under to give the appearence of being unsplit. We've had 450 lbs of man bouncing up and down on that front end and they didn't hit.

450lbs of man is the weight of a motor/ trans. but the travel of the axle individually Lf. and Rt. upwards with the uneven road surfaces and leaf spring flex or there of is what I was concerned with. But I guess you thought all that out. Just all the years I've been viewing and messing with cars the split bones or radius rods have always been on the outside of the frame or at least parallel vertically with the outside frame wall. Not hacking your work just a comment, like your truck!! :)

I got a little done in the last few days. Wishbones completed, painted, and installed. Wishbone rear mounts are only tacked for now until I remove the trans to get in there.

Cool. It's gonna rip with the Nailhead, and look good too. And a lot of fun with the 5-spd trans.

Cars must GO, STOP and go around corners. Many are built, few are engineered.

So I finally got back on the car in the last week. I never liked how the rear springs were squared off. So I took care of that. Plasma cut, grind, sand, repeat.
