I always thought this was the perfect pic for a " caption this" contest. Like " arent you glad you bought a v8? " or " now are you glad you opt'd for horsepower over fuel mileage ?"

Okay, I mentioned model/actress Lauren Hutton a few days ago. I remember being skeptical when she came on the scene on behalf of Revlon in the '60s:rolleyes:, BUT I love being proven wrong. Considered a true "fresh face" in the modeling scene, Lauren came off as real, not plastic. As mentioned, she had a little God-given space between her front teeth, and she refused pressure to have this corrected with cosmetic dentistry. This, along with her verve and upbeat attitude, quickly became sort of a Hutton trademark.

Born in late '43, she was in her glowing, youthful prime in the '60s, carrying into her acting career;). She played lead or key support roles in numerous big- box-office movies during the '70s with the likes of James Caan, Burt Reynolds, Evel Knievel, Richard Gere and George Hamilton. She was a screen asset in movies you've probably seen, or should see, including "American Gigolo," "Zorro, the Gay Blade," "Gator," "Someone's Watching Me!" and "Viva Knievel!"

A real motorcycling buff, Lauren's spirits were undampened by a serious crackup:( that broke numerous bones and left her with a host of scrapes and bruises, leaving no permanent scars. She's now 66 and still going strong.

Shot in 1980, "Zorrow, the Gay Blade" paired
Hutton with George Hamilton as a squirrely
Zorrow and his even squirrelier twin brother,
    Bunny Wigglesworth!

Does anybody remember the old 70's Hustler magazine interview about how he bragged about getting out of the Vietnam war draft? I do. But look what he talks about now. He needs to just play his guitar and what not and get out of politics .We never took Ted seriously growing up, because we WERE getting high .I probably shoud have kept this to myself . The only song I ever liked of his was Journey to the center of the mind, it reminded me of the Moody Blues. Don't hate me.

Nope, I don't hate anybody for speaking their mind. This thread's proof that folks don't need to polarize RE any given topic or pic, just keep discussion friendly and honest. Ted's no saint, as I said. And, yup, now that you mention it, "Center of the Mind" sure DOES sound a lot like the Moody Blues -- and a tad like Pink Floyd, IMO.

The Royal Irish Fusiliers of the British expeditionary forces come to the aid of French farmers whose horses have been commandeered by the French Army. A tank is hitched to a plow to help with the spring tilling of the soil on March 27, 1940

Second Army Tennessee Maneuvers. 3 miles west of Watertown, Tennessee. As an addition to the battalion's defense, HQ Co. of the 5th Armd Maint Bn developed an idea thought up by Ordernance Sgt. Magazine. The 37mm gun is the only field weapon alloted for the battalion's defense. To increase firepower, a 50 cal. Machine gun was mounted on the front of the 37mm gun vehicle. All parts were made and mounted by HQ personnel. (6 Jun 43) Signal Corps Photo: 164-0012-43-204
