Very nice. I like your flames a lot. I tend to extend the licks on mine a little more to give the flames a little more flow.

were it mine I would have started the fade with the engine color if your are keeping it that color and running without a hood, then done the fade from orange to yellow to blue. that said I like the design.

  5. There; that's what I would have said. :D

    BTW, I love the Coupe!!!

    Do you like them?
If so, why do you care what others think?
If everyone else in the world thought they suck, would you change them?
    If not, why ask?

I think they look very nice, but I agree that the blue does look just a bit off. I think the main reaswn for that is because it doesn't quite blend with the progression of colors you have going on, you have a great blend from yellow to orange to red, then you go from red to blue rather abruptly. Personally I would have ended in the red, and then pinstriped blue around the whole works. Maybe a blue pinstripe would help tie the tips in a bit more.

The overall shape is pretty nice, good balance, good flow, I would nitpick the shape just from perssonal preference - I like to bring the two tips of each flame in a little more, then curve back out more, kind of like the couple pictured above - a little more "curvy" if you will. That's just me though. Yours have a bit more "flow" as compared to "curve", and that's ok.

Some guys will knock the black car with red wheels, but I really like yours a lot.

I also like the style but woulda skipped the blue fade as was already said. Also as was said, "a perfect flame job...", well there is no such thing except to the eye of the beholder. If all flames were "perfect" then they'd all have to look the same.

Nice style, fits the car, well done. I won't cop out and say the gratuitous "It's your car..." bullshit. I think it's kool you asked for opinions.

I love flames, and yours look great. But as has been said before, as long as you like them, then you did a good job.

Same thought here, if you're going to have the engine exposed, beginning the flames with the engine color would seem to "extend" the flames a bit.

    Other than that, nice!

    Very Nice!
So little time, so many opinions!

  22. If I had to do them, I'd probably go a little brighter red into less of a blue tip to pick up the wheel color a bit but you did a great job. I like them.

  23. Honest officer,By the time I realized it wasnt just a terrific flame job, she'd burnt clear to the ground!

    I think they look great.

Well, from a (67) year old they look darned good to me.
Simple, not overdone, and not overlapped like the younger set likes.
    You done good man !!!
    Cheers........

  26. I have done flames on several cars, pickups, and bikes over the years and am kind of picky which ones I think look good. As mentioned above, some flames can take away from the overall look of a car if done wrong. All that being said, I think yours turned out great!

Any critsism here can be taken care of with a a pinstriped border. Apple green or something should do the trick.

  28. I like em - that's my opinion.

  29. I am the ultimate authority on flames and for that reason you will be pleased to know that I think they look great. Looking for an attaboy?

Personally I think they should have been a little more tribal looking, maybe some skulls and spiders ghosted in there with some giant bass boat flake to offset the crazy lace background layered over another set of tribal flames in a complimentary color...oh wait, which board am I on?

Seriously, I think they look great.
