looking for any and all pics of international pickups that's been lowered, bagged and/or chassis swapped. i have a 1961 international I'm looking to do something with and have gotten alot of help by a few members on here.just looking for pics. Seems there's not alot on them as far as altered suspensions. I've looked at other IH sites but still very little info and no pics as far as lowering.

Those definitely need chopped. I had one given to me and looked at it long and hard trying to envision something cool. All I could see was a cab that's way too tall. Lower it and it would look like a telephone booth, IMO.

yea they are really tall. i dont know anyone around my way (NC) who could do the front curved glass on them or without it costing the hell out of me if i do find some one.

i guess another reason i havent seen alot of them done is cause the truck is super wide, too wide for a s-10 frame. i was told to use a mid 70s nova clip and it def seems wide enough. but i think im gonna have to make the frame from the clip back so it will lay rocker. ive just never seen one done. ive seen 50s IH bagged but none lay rocker.

This is the only pic I have of a IHC truck that has been lowered I know it is not the year you were looking for but it is a sharp truck ,don't know who it belongs to but it is nice!!!

I just lowered mine 3" by removing leafs from the springs. I took some measurements and found that you can move the front axle on top of the springs without clearance problems.Mine is a 63 but should be the same. By the way, mine is in the classifieds if anyone is looking for one.

Anyone try a drop axle for the front and convert over to disk breaks?

  13. I think that mid-70's AMC Ambassador brakes are nearly a bolt-in for the 57 IH. A guy north of here has them on his and he said the conversion was really easy.

OH YA! That's a Idaho Stater that stopped him coming home from the Knuckle Scrapers Palouse, WA. show.
