Took my sister back to North Dakota did a 750 miles turn around
the North Dakota news said severe storms were on they way
looks like something followed me home

got home at Midnight hit the sack
at 4am lighting hit our huge elm
it pulled the 70 power pole over & snapped another pole

    here are the results

55 Buick Special Ht looks to be ok
the power lines are just above that branch on the roof

the replacement pole is waiting on the crew to remove and install

    shot of the trunk

you can see what happened to the 70 foot pole split it

our other pole spun from the weight of the elm
forcing the lines into the spruce
sparks & smoke followed no fire yet

the guy working out of this bucket on this truck got balls
he unhook and attached the wires to the new pole
the top lines were High voltage transmission line the lower line were residential lines either one would kill you in a heart beat

there were 8 Excel Energy trucks working on this
My hats off to them and any of you guys on Hamb that do this work
