In their prime, the Beach Boys perform on "The Ed Sullivan Show," Sept. 27, 1964.
They epitomized the youth beach culture and the SoCal sound, a cool balance to trad
R&R and a welcome alternative to those not into the total British Invasion. It was a
great time to be young, regardless of your social or economic station.

Little did we know then, but though the hotrods and the music would endure, the mood,
sensibilities and priorities of the world would soon be permanently changed by a damned
thing called war. THANKS for use of the photo go to Wikipedia and the copyright-holder
who graciously allow its use under fair-use rationale for the sake of education and dis-
cussion. Obviously, it cannot be republished for any commercial purpose.

Yes,I concur; a paltry sum for some of the best information and historical education ever. Thanks to all who contribute!

Not everyone is always an alliance member, just HAMB subscribers...still a bargain when you need it.

It's still a really nice place to see a show. They restored it a few years ago. Too bad people don't get to see this type of structure everyday, now it's cost efficient, cookie cutter muildings.[IMG]

Great group of posts Moefuzz. Is this car the Lincoln Futura concept used by Barris for the first Bat Mobile in the 60's?
