In their prime, the Beach Boys perform on "The Ed Sullivan Show," Sept. 27, 1964.
They epitomized the youth beach culture and the SoCal sound, a cool balance to trad
R&R and a welcome alternative to those not into the total British Invasion. It was a
great time to be young, regardless of your social or economic station.

Little did we know then, but though the hotrods and the music would endure, the mood,
sensibilities and priorities of the world would soon be permanently changed by a damned

It's still a really nice place to see a show. They restored it a few years ago. Too bad people don't get to see this type of structure everyday, now it's cost efficient, cookie cutter muildings.

Maybe not where you live, but they were in many other places including where I live.
