Right on. There's a cruise-in every saturday around the AV. Check the "Calendar of Events" in the Automotive section of the AV Press for details. Also, every friday night, a lot of the local car people converge at the Del Taco on L and 40th West and the Tom's Burger on 47th East and R.

The Ventura Nationals is a great show. It's one of my favorites for sure! I'll be there with Los Boulevardos

In fact, I think I saw you at the stoplight on N and 50th on Saturday. Around noon or so. You were heading east on N, first at the light. I was turning onto N from 50th. Had a metalflaked buggy on a trailer. Bob_o was behind me in his (loud as hell) 62 buick. Was that you?

oh jeez, a couple of morons put some cars together with cold welds, they fall apart and rodent buggies suddenly have a bad name. most ppl here wouldn't know a rat rod if one jumped up and bit them in hte ass. it's up to the builder, if he knows his shit. trade school rejects shouldn't weld on anything. my step son in Colorado has a rat rod that is stronger than hell.

not many can agree what a 'traditional hot rod' is either. oh well...

i love the hill. i have a few 12 to 18 in pieces of quartz in my back yard from my 4X4 days back when. that was a nice hill 'till some developer scraped and plowed it off. looks like a fkn pyramid. we used camp behind the Kentucky shooting area then head out to the hill for some 4WD sillyness & grab some rocks, go out through the poppy reserve and up to Sawmill Campground for another overnight round the campfire with some JD and bacon burgers.

welp, good stomping grounds disappear, but badass bombers get bought by cool chicks and outfitted like they came out of the Skunkworks lol
