    Guys...
My wife & I went journeyed to Iowa this weekend & picked up something I never thought I would own...a near perfect bodied '32 5 window. I literally haven't gotten over 20 hours sleep over the last 2 weeks, but all of the anxiety was absolutely worth it!!
The car has been parked since '60. The man I bought it from was the 2nd owner & bought the car in '47. He eventually installed a 265 from a '55 Chevrolet & drove the car for awhile, but the car went into storage when the family relocated. The motor was installed in his brother's race car when it was parked. The car does have some early custom touches...different dash, a windshield divider bar, aftermarket vent windows, & louvered hood. It came with chromed garnish moldings that had never been installed.
Besides a little surface rust here & there, this car is 100% rust free...

Looks fantastic. I believe you when you said you lost sleep. How did you manage the 20 hours worth?

Wow, nice score... What part of the state did you find it in? Just wanted to make sure it wasn't hiding under my nose in my old hometown. :D

Don't believe this one ever had a heavy axle...still has original suspension with hydraulic brakes & original rear. Was told it had a '32 tranny but it looks like a later one to me (doesn't have the "shark fin" shifter tower).

WOW! Once you get some sleep we need to hear the total story start to finish, how you found it, the former owner, trip etc. You know the drill, standard HAMB report. Congratulations! Bob

  23. Very nice. Friend of mine is building a mint, unmolested 32 that came out of Washington State. It also had a common 32 to 36 front axle. Not all that unusual.

I am still in shock...hasn't really set in that she is mine. The car was at a farm about 20 miles from Waterloo. My wife & I had a great trip & really enjoyed meeting the previous owners. We would have been in last night but ran into rain in Louisville...had to stop & cover the car up!!

Any ideas what this dash is out of?
