Bonneville 2011 Roll Call

Havent read all the posts so not sure if its been mentioned yet. Right at the end of the pits, approximately the 5 mile mark, there is usually a bunch of HAMBrs hanging out under a few pop ups. Also right in the same area is where they usually have the meet and greet with the big HAMB member picture shoot (large group of people with goofy hats waving at someone on top of a motor home).

I have no idea what day or time this is. Ive only manged to be in a couple myself. Seems like Im usually off taking in the sights.

 

Sounds good. If anyone knows time and date please post it up.

Must have missed that one, was probably working the short course.

I like it! But shouldn't the corrugations be with the wind? I know, harder to bend that way.

 

The Lifters Car club will be there racing the salt flats with Justin's Roadster.

We are using my jalopy for the push car.......It is going to be a blast.

I found out I'm probably working the 2 mile mark, not sure which course, but I'll be there under a yellow canopy. Wave as you go by Haha.

"7-29-11 Update, not much to say.
Everything is go. The salt is dry and hard .
We have laid out two full length (8 mile) combo courses, a 4 mile short course and a 3 mile mini course. We will be on the salt to begin event set up on August 7th..

Been trying to get some of the ACES to come along,,,,nothing yet.

 

Its going to be a blast, My son and myself first timers out on the salt. We are leaving from Charleston, SC on the 7th and driving our 31 Model A out there and back. Man this is gonna be cool.

After my first trip there last year, I was hoping to go again.

Just got a call from a friend who has been there many years but is going blind and no longer able to drive. He invited me to go with him and his friend to help with driving and it looks like I'll be there but not on opening weekend. We'll be leaving Arizona on Sunday morning.

Hoping to get some better photos this year.

I'm flying into Salt Lake City on Aug. 13th from Indy The plane lands at 10:11. I was wondering if anyone else was going to be flying in at the same time so i could hitch a ride to the salt? I can help pay for gas. My buddies are going to be out there already. I thought i would save them a trip if i could.

 

If none of the big pieces fall off on the drive down, mine will be ther again this year.

 

Hey man, Me and hopefully my Dad as well now are both driving our Rods from NJ. I'll be in my green 40' coupe and my Dad will be in his Viper Blue 38' Ford Standard 4door Humpback....We are takin I80 and leaving the 7th as well. Keep an eye out for us maybe we can link up for the run to the fun...
