Projects "No Quarter"- '27 T coupe project

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by SinisterCustom, Oct 22, 2008.

  1. Very cool. I'll be studying your build in advance of building my 26. Only mine will be a tall T -- a cross between Mercury Charlie's old T and the one Conder is/was building for Stoner. Look the dash! Very inspiring.

It's been a month since you updated this build, I am sure you've got something done since last time. Give us an update?

Very cool T! I'm gather parts, thought and ideas for a '27 T right now myself. Yours has been a great inspiration. Can't wait to see it all done.

    Thanks fellas....

Really nothing to report Neil.....I'm redoing the steering, not happy with the Corvair box...it's ugly. A freind is lending me a Vega for mockup, as well as some front tires/wheels so I can see how she sits. By "sits", I mean it's pushed off in the corner of garage....
Spring is coming fast, and need to get floors replaced and fresh paint on the jetboat.....

I'm easily distracted by misc. projects.....notice the start date of this thread...this car shoulda been done a year or two ago.....but won't be for another year AT LEAST.....$$$$ is TIGHT.

You may already know this, and it may be a little pricey, but Hurst is still selling the pistol grip sticks.

I think an e-body stick might work even better in there, depending on your seat hieght/position...

    Yeah...thanks George...
This stick is for a '71-4 non-console B-body and feels perfect. It was in my '68 B-body, which is actually too short....gives me an excuse to get the better fitting, '70 Non-console shifter for it.:D

Your build thread has been an inspiration for me. Thanks for taking the time to take the photos and post the build.

I just bought a 27 Coupe after watching the "Rides" program about "Bad News", in hopes of building a killer rod just like it. However,.....after reading your thread, I really like a lot of the things you've done and have learned quite a bit about what I'd really like to do. I love the swept frame!

Thanks again for taking the time to keep everyone here posted as to your progress!

I really like what you have done. It looks great! I am also building a T-coupe. I was curious what rear spring you were going to run? I think I read that your rear Z was only 5 inches, so are you going to put a 40 front spring in back? I think thats what Bad news has in it but i have no Idea how much Z it has
