Projects R. Seghi's 55 Chevy gasser build.

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Kiwi Kev, Jul 19, 2011.

  1. I just installed a Speedway Motors straight front axle kit in Robert's 55, he picked it up yesterday and took it back to the paint shop to get the dash and roll bar painted.

Here are some pic's I took during the installation.....

Before the front end was cut off the spindle centerline was measured and the car was leveled.....

Looks great and beautiful welding work. Are those painted panel portions only on the roof or are they on other parts of the car, they are understated but gorgeous.

Nice work on Robs car Kevin. Question on the Rollbar. Did you just plate and weld it to the floor or is there also stubs on the underside to mount it to the frame.

    YEAH!!!!!! Loving it!

  19. Thank's guys. The rollbar is just plated to the floor. We weren't worried about it being NHRA legal. It will work fine if needed. The interior will be buckets with black pleated seats and side panels. There will be a carpeted panel where the back seat used to be.
