it looks good. i still need to get it painted, im going to do it the body color. ill try to get a shot of it soon.
There's been a BOAT LOAD of progress made on this since you first posted pics in May of last year. I'm impressed. Love the bags & work you did in the floors. Under the hood looks nice too - clean, stock. Cool. JH
thanks. i made good time at the beginning, but have stalled out the past few months. i plan on building up some stream soon though and getting this one done! thank you.
how did i miss this thread before? very nice work and well thought out, really dig where this is going, and in a freakin hurry too. i needed to see this, i've hit a dead spot with my own stuff and seeing this makes me wanna get off my keester and get some work done.
outside of the usual rust spots, that thing is in damn good shape. killer job on the floors, so there is no doubt the rest should come out just as nice. i dig the color choices too, can't wait to see it finished.
thanks guys! ill post up a pic of the color later. i sprayed out a pod to see if i liked it, it been in my way/sight and the color is growing on me. i think its a good idea to spry something and study it for a few to see if ya really like it, although it will look different once on the whole car.
Great color. I think Woodpecker may have had something similar in mind. I guess the first to do it, gets it!!!! JH
I am watching this. Maybe its me but seems wagons are getting cooler by the masses. glad I grabbed my 59. I saw you at LSR 11 and didn't realize it was you.
not much of an update, but im finally getting fired back up on this thing, and have caught up on customers stuff. got a 3x2 set up going on it with a few different valve covers, havent made up what i like just yet.... finally got some color on the motor and transmission planning on getting the frame blasted in the next couple of weeks
Outstanding work. Real nice wagon your putting together. Looking forward to the continuation of the build. Gary
Cool score kids, she has the car thing as bad as you man, love it. The 60's are so cool, love the hood lines the way cool rear fins, just very hip. Hope to see it at the drags, love me some longroofs, as in here's mine, my pride and joy. ~sololobo~
thanks for the good words thanks man. it will not be at the drags, but will be at my open house, hoping to have the frame all done by then also.
I've been watching your thread since you started it. It's amazing how far you've come along, and by doing it the correct way. Keep up the good work and keep the photos coming................Mike
Just got around to browsing this thread and noticed the Mark IV air-conditioner. Built these when I worked for the John E. Mitchell company in Dallas in the 1960's. After hours used the big flow-bench to work on cylinder heads. There's a custom car shop in one of the JEMCO buildings now. Bood
Looking good Ryno. Wagons Rule. I've had all types of old cars and trucks but never had anywhere near the fun I'm having with my 62 wagon. It has 2" drop spindles and a nine inch Ford rear with cut coils. The front has 17" and the rear 18" Coys. Still have to be real careful on speed humps. The power steering, brakes and A/C make it a super highway cruiser. Another thing with wagons is they are in such demand I've had numerous offers to buy it despite its never been up for sale. Keep us posted on your build.
Good to see you back at work on this. Hope things are getting a little back to normal for you. See you at the drags. Gary
