History Bob's Big Boy Broiler Opens In Downey!

Thanks for the invite CK. I'll have to make it over there this summer. I'm planning a trip to see a few relatives that are still around in SoCal.
JG, things have probably changed since then. I was talking about a time back in the 60's & 70's. I like my beer in a tall frosted glass.

Thanks Adriene. Just to add to what I said before about meeting great people @ the Broiler and that is Mazooma. A person that was a mystery to me here on the HAMB but Thanks to Kevin we have gotten to know one another.

 

Cruised up here with a couple of friends last night,it was late but still some cars.We just hung out at the counter but it was cool,Johnny Gee I really dig your chevy man,it just has the right look.Got to meet Kevin as well and just wanted to thank you guys for all of your effort,the Broiler rules.

 

Downey? Snobs?...........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, oh crap, I just pee'd a little. I've met a lot of people in Downey and the only ones who were snobs were the people that WEREN'T from Downey, That thought they were better than the people FROM Downey.

Looking forward to seeing againg at the Broiler, This time in a hot rod under a canopy that is lit with building lighting instead of construction lighting. - Not on here to much at the moment, still waiting to get hooked up again to wi-fi at home,These 1951 constructed home with lead line to the poles make U-verse difficult to get a propper signal. I finally got the plaque mounted on the Buick. I used some mirror polished stainless plate to mount it.

Too bad it aint running right now. Took the valvetrain out to fix a few things.

Hey Mark, will put one aside for you, they're $28.50 (shipping to Oz would be expensive) so I'll save it til you're back out in June.

I was out at Van Nuys Cruise last night, met some HAMBers, handed out our cruise night flyers. Last time the Strays came out from VN to the Broiler, that was great. Adriene's been working with the Coachmen in Ventura who are now planning to roll on out to the Broiler too.
