  8. 5-window - But, based on what's in my garage, I may be slightly biased... ;)

i have to agree with what's already been said - every time I see a 3-window i think it's 'glass.

Though I much prefer 33/34's, I'd go 32 3 window; hammered, full fendered ala Gammel.

I would take a 3 window, I have never liked the look of a 5 window...

Score now 113 for 5w and 80 for the 3w.

  13. I'm 6' 3", so I need the leg room, and I prefer the look of a 5 window anyway.

Coke or Pepsi? Cats or dogs? Marianne or Ginger? Preferences are personal, subjective.

I know you said to stay out of this, but I'm fortunate enough to have them both so I'm not biased. I hands down prefer the 3-window because of its cockpit size. I'm a big guy and the small size difference makes a huge difference for me. It also seems to have more airflow keeping you cooler....and that dang door post isn't in the way of sight.
I guess my perspective is 100% from driving rather....which is what I like to do.

Funny. Even though the Bakan coupe (3-window) is my all time favorite hot rod I still really had to think about it. That said.... 3-window baby!

    ...and Marianne...

    3-Window with Fenders and all.

  22. Pardon my ignorance, I'm more of a custom guy. The 3 window is bigger? You and I stand about eye-to-eye Reggie, I would have thought the 5w would be more comfortable.

This will be followed by another question. Air or water?

Yep Al, the roof line is a bit longer and the body widens quite a bit more between the beltline and up. Even if you remove the package tray out of the 5-window, us big guys still has to navigate our large butts between the steering wheel and the narrow door opening for entry and exit. While the three window's long and suicide doors allows you to just open the door and sit down.

I just bought Revell's version of the 5W coupe... That's a damn fine kit!! Can't wait to get started on it.. It's a 3n' 1 kit which includes a 392, 302 and a flathead I think???.... Or is that in the sedan version?? Damn, these kits are fun!! :D

Five window coupes of almost any year are my favorites but I wouldn't turn down a three window.
