Thanks again Chevy54, but the problem is not the time, is money :).
For me being in Italy it takes twice as much for you who live in Usa.
Cost of spare parts I have to add shipping costs are very high and the 30% tax when the goods arrive home. I hope to do it for next summer :).
    Bye

  4. Orulahave you looked at buying stuff from the UK....may work out just a bit cheaper then importing from the US....also have alook at www.nrsa.org.uk and join the forum for some great runs over here and maybe a bit of Euro support for you....also check out http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/ a bit of a looser forum but maybe worth you joining there too!great job on the truck by the way.....and Rodders in Europe all know waht you mean about how difficult it can be to get a rod together....how easy is it gona be to get registered in italy??

Hello Guys, please I need another suggestion from you. I want to buy a 700R4 transmission for my '53 Chevy Truck. Where can I find a great seller about for a remanufactured Trans ? Maybe Gearstar.net?

    Many thanks [IMG]

A long time ago a friend of mine did a fantastic rebuild of a Packard 8 for a client in Italy. I questioned him on the outward appearence. He left it dirty, rusted, chipped pocelain on the manifolds, and the outside of the cast aluminum pan was filthy but the inside was like new. He crated up the running and essentially "new" engine and shipped it to Italy looking pretty old and used. Now why in world would he have done that?

That most likely got it past the tax collectors who wouldn't take much notice of a crusty looking engine in a crate but would think that a shiny one was something to put a big tax on.

Wow, that is looking good. Those smoothies with bullet caps are growing on me fast.
Nice work and that is one scab free looking chassis.

Hi Finnrodder, thanks. I bought the air tank from AZ Zenith (Las Vegas-Nevada) along with Air Ride kit but I think you can buy it separately. Bye

  20. Hey nice build - don´t know how I missed this one.

I´m not such a fan of white, personally I would go for a darker colour.

Hi James D, you're right. For a year I decided to make the black truck but here there are many American cars black so I had the urge to do something different. Thank you for your appreciation :)

That chassis looks so good man...keep up that high quality work!

By the way....the car in the photo behind your chassis is not much bigger then the scooter next to it!!:D

Hi Bonez, $ 60,000 equivalent to 42,000 euros at the end but I think that not enough even :) + the cost of truck.
There will certainly be an opportunity to see my truck in person. Now I'm part of the Wise Guys CC North Italy. Thanx

Cool - but I think a dark colour would look better than white.

    Just an opinion.
