So, here we go...Ive had a vision of a radicle early 40's hot rod truck in my mind for some time now, and I got the perfect project via another persons sad attempt at, yet I say, a "rat rod". yes, those were the previous owners words...not mine. if anything would be saved was the engine, bed, and body.
so here we go. I hope you like it, cause i love it. its kinda like an ed roth style radicle drag truck inspired early 60's hot rod truck.
I know it might not be the typical "traditinal style" we are all used to seeing, and might just piss people off here and there but i wanted to be different, and tastefull if you can fathom that.yet stick to a somewhat traditinal, and original look (I know, fenderless trucks are by far not an original concept at all, but none of the ones ive seen have blown me away)....most of the parts on the truck if not almost all of them are 1960's and below. obviously, not trying to make something period correct because there is nothing period correct about it. just something that ive always envisioned, built by me, the way I want it.
anyway, ill stop yapping and show you the pics from the build. I hope you like it.

A little glimpse into the future....

here she is, picked up from some dude in Texas
    [IMG]

man, theres alot of work to be done!

    thats a 1951 Hemi with 1954 heads...

What were the other guys thinking? its going to be intersting saving this? Loooong wheel base...thats gotta go!

bed is out...dont know what the hell it is but it will have to be modified for sure...

    hey look, something worth saving...

    more mutilation of the monstrocity...

the hemi was in preety good shape, minus the blower...it was just a shell with no guts...that will all change!!

trying to set the future stance...its going to be low!

note: when low...lower some more...BTW those will not be the exaust
    [IMG]

mocking up the 3 rochesters atop of the blowe, the bike wanted to say hello too...

the body was not in bad shape...mostly surface rust, but an acid bath in the future will tell otherwise...also checking out the floor for the channel

Not everyone will appriciate this. But don't let that stop you from posting . What kibda grill you gonna run ? Something from the late 30s will flow with the lines of the truck better. Just my 2 cents

That is one great looking Hemi. Eddie is one great guy, he's also the one who built my 392. He's an absolute master at what he does! Are you running a 331?

I wasn't quite onboard with your build at first even though you were de-rating it. The last pics you posted shows it looking GOOD, starting to really like it. I still don't get the airbag fasination? especially on an open wheeled ride, set it up with a good stance and leave it....keep the pics coming:)
