I am at the point of needing to repaint my steel wheels on my Falcon and was kicking around painting them a different color other then white. What do you guys think? red, white or silver?

You know thats not a bad idea either, I could see that being something that could have been done back in the day.

As said already, half red, half white on rear. Leave the front all white

You need to bust out those photo shop skills to try and get a better idea.

I have some pictures of it with siler wheels prior to the straight axle install and that was not a bad idea, te red was something that I thought would be to much of but it would be different. The red/white rear wheels are growing on me.

My first thought was 1/2 red & white. But here is another idea.

Leave the front wheels white and do the rears B&W in the same style as Monsters second picture.

Drop Out & Monster, great job and thanks for doing the photo shopping of the picture, it really gives different ideas to go with. Theres some ideas that I was not even thinking of.

red goes good with black or white paint jobs....

  24. Leave it alone,,sometimes in our never ending pursuit of constant upgrading and change we lose site of just how good a unrefined and simple car is able to make such a strong visual impact,,,you have already achieved what you set out to do,,,keep the wheels white.HRP

  25. I agree with HOTRODPRIMER on this. The car looks great the way it is. Sometimes on our own vehicles we become complacent with the "Look", and think we have to change it out..yet, myself for instance, have not seen this car before, and quite like the way it looks now. As time passes, we sometimes feel the need for a change..doesn't necessaily mean it is warranted.

  26. X2 definatly! Maybe white still on the front!

Others have said keep it all white... I say paint the hell out of it! Its a gasser for crap sake! Its already is suppose to be wild! Right now its just white. Like vanilla..

I like the Dropouts idea of painting the roof and teardrop scoop in red. Better yet, red METALFLAKE!!!

Seriously, if you have a purpose built drag car, and it happens to be a gasser... you have to go wild with the paint, or youre missing a chance to get away with practically any fun, creative paint job. Take a look at history. Dude, ramp it up!!!
