Rob cut near 6 inches off the sides and about 3 out of the middle, At first we couldn't make up are minds whether it should go on or not, but it works for me.

It definitely looks better. I think the original configuration is the one thing I didn't care much for on the '57. Looking forward to seeing this with some color on it.

I've liked the '57 Fords and in particular the Rancheros ever since I saw one set up to run Gas class with a 390 & 4 speed, straight axle and radiused rear fenders. It was primer red and pretty raw and I loved it. I saw your car when you first posted awhile back and it reminded me of that Ranchero. The workmanship is first rate and I have a feeling your car is going to come out real nice. Looking forward to the videos of it wailing down the quarter.
Rat Nastys wagon is also a pretty cool one. That car will definitely be bad ass, even of it does have a Chevy motor.:D
I tried to buy a '57 Ranchero a few months ago, has a great body & a 390, but there are title issues and I ended up with a '51 Ford F1 with a freakin 350 in it. Kinda like the ugly girl from high school that you know puts out, better than nothing. lol

Here's your Photoshop, Donnie. Not sure why it didn't show on the pm. I like this color though, too bad you gotta wait a month for the real deal. Did you tell your neighbor someone stole his car AND driveway?:D

You're quite welcome, it was fun to do! I'm looking forward to seeing the real deal. Uh oh..."cheques in the mail." Isn't sorta like the saying "I'll respect you in the morning"? :D

Thanks also. If I'd have known how to do color transfer better when I did your wagon ( post #348) it wouldn't have looked orange. lol

I've been getting mine ready for the strip. It now has a new drivetrain and a cage. As soon as it's broken in, we'll see how she goes on the track.

Somebody sure screwed up the title of this thread "tri Five' Fords were 57-59

  29. I believe the title is "Hot Rods Pix of '55-'57 Ford Gassers - the "other" Tri-Fives"? Making reference to '55-57 chevies... Besides, where were Fords 57-59 Fords EVER called "tri Five"?

I can see a big Old Boat '59 Galaxie 500 as a Gasser, wahahaha.
