Looks like someone has been studying Art Morrisons front ends. Looks good. ? With all those rigid links in the rear, do you get much articulation?

 

thats it for now. gotta do shock mounts, exhaust, check rear travel and pinion angle then solid weld everything next. thanks for stoppin by to see my project.

 

yes, i have been. i wish i did a few more changes to their design though. live and learn.

as far as the rear, i hope to have enough articulation, but not too much. i dont have any space for sway bars and dont want the car rolling over too hard. not that i recommend binding a suspension setup up to try to replace the job of a sway bar, but i think i should be okay.

Ya know, i hadn't given any thought to bringing it there. I'm just so used to driving my truck everywhere and figured the 62 didn't fit in. guess i'll have to think about that.

With the roll center that high in the rear it won't be a problem. I think if you replaced that bushing at the rear of the wishbone with a johnny joint it would ride better.

the other I saw was it looked the tube (cross shaft) for your upper control arms is tapped. I have seen those loosen up in the past so you might want to weld a tab somewhere and drill the head of the bolt for safety wire.

I really like the trans mount.....simple, elegant, sturdy, that's as good as it gets.

Donny, thanks for the input, i actually had thought of using a super-pivot joint on the back of the wishbone, but i didnt have one! so i just went ahead with the urethane, the last two wishbone setups i have done i used all urethane bushings like this and have had great luck, so i hope this one works too. thanks for the idea on the upper control arm mount, ive never tried this design on a car for myself before.
