History Anybody got good shots of their Dad's old cars?

  1. 1952
    dad's 1st car
    got it from his dad
    g-pa bought a new Pontiac

    mom and dad before I came along
    traded the torpedo for the Merc
    Merc burned in a house fire soon after

    dad bought the Chevy after the Merc burned

    1955
    mom and dad after I came along
    48? Mercury, that's how you make a tail dragger

    1956
    that's me and I remember the Olds.
    dad would have me sit in the steering wheel and swing back and forth.
    Also remember it made a lot of noise.

    1958
    dad's 56 F100 work truck

    Soon after, dad's passion turned to racing boats
    then any car with a trailer hitch worked for him

    1962 Rogue River, Gold Beach Oregon
    I'm the little guy.
    Blonde kid is Allen Boice of today's Boice Marine.

    A few of my Dad and one of Grandpa...I'm the youngster. Luckily a few of those cars are still in the family and I'm lucky enough to drive the '47 now.

    I love this place!This is another one of those killer threads that make me wish I had a time machine, and also makes me think I was born way too late on the wrong side of the Atlantic.
    Unfortunately, I have nothing to offer unless you want to see a photograph of a 50-year-old shit head standing next to an 80s model Ford Sierra which he was too drunk to drive most the time.

    This is Dad right out of high school (Osakis) after joining the Army. The 49 Chevy was his first car, and here's what they sold for in 56. His Dad signed the note since he was fresh out of school..

    His second car and my mom. Taken on Skyline Drive in VA.

    His 396 4 spd Chevelle. 17 mpg, and he said it would indeed jump the front wheel over a soda can.

    My dads 38 club coupe in '73 in downtown Geelong ,coupe was on on shortened Customline chassis ,a very much younger Fergy had driving privilages that day ,i was to young too drive,,
