Have you ever tried to estimate the distance you wheelie? I think i'd settle for a slower 60' time if i could say i 60' with the rear tires! LOL!!!!

I would mount camera underneith on the rear end, on the hood, Facing you, facing out the window... maybe 3d???

Don: Sorry to hear you broke! One heck of a wheelie though! My son David does our trans building. We've gotten a couple of seasons out of the trans. Gear Star custom built our converter. We went spragless lock up. Their in Akron. Check out their website. One of the best trans shops in the country. We/re not going to Marion. The Gas supercharged guys at at Dragway 42 that weekend. Been there and did all that...Got rid of the olds/pontiac rear and put a 9" in it, 35 spline axles and pro gear....

Sorry you broke a few bits, BUT DAMN did you do it in STYLE!
The car RULES and i hope to see it nosed up again in the future like i did a few years back at Thompson.
Someday i would still LOVE to build a Willys coupe! SO F&*KING BADSS!!!

not many tracks let me take riders.....but I hear they will at the jalopy showdown drags.....thanks for all the kind words guys!

No doubt you got all the "goody" outta that ring and pinion. They can now
be repurposed as "trophy" parts or wallhanger "sacrifices to the gods of

I have a 110v Mig Welder and a 4" grinder - I think we can get that ring gear whipped back into shape in no time!

 

It never gets old watching your car! The new lettering on the deck lid looks killer! I need a ride in it someday too...

Man that car can stand up proud, to bad the rear didn't stand up so proud though. You know how it goes, break it and then go back and build it stronger, still sucks though.
